Our trip to Haiti was a great success. We spent several
days working around Sister Anderson's children's home. We spent one
whole day just cleaning up things that were tossed around during the
earthquake.
One day we went
down the mountain to Petit Goave where we met with the Lieutenant
Colonel in charge of the Marine division there. We were received
well and he listened to our concerns for Sister Anderson.
Unfortunately, the Marines have finished the food and supply
distribution aspect of their mission.
The Marines did
make an appearance at Sister Anderson's the following day and it was
quite a site to see the Marines playing with the children at Sister
Anderson's.
We were able to
work on Sister Anderson's generator and get it working. We were
also able to work on the four wheeler, batteries for solar electric, and
her computer and satellite internet access.
We were able to
take supplies to Sister Anderson we brought with us on the plane, as
well as, purchase several hundred dollars worth of groceries in the
Dominican Republic to take to Sister Anderson.
Sister Anderson
is doing well. She needs to have eight batteries for her solar
power replaced and needs a new water heater. We are working on
getting her a new generator and a new four wheeler too. It is an
8.5 mile trip by four wheeler up the mountain to get to Sister Anderson.

David Fenley, West Indies Field Director for Macedonia World Baptist
Missions, and Joe Shihady, Sister Anderson's pastor, will be traveling
to Haiti on Friday, February 5, 2010, to take supplies in and assist
Connie Anderson. Please pray for their safety. They are
limited to what they can take due to weight restrictions imposed by
airlines. They will actually purchase some supplies in the
Dominican Republic to take in to Sister Anderson. Please pray for
traveling mercies and that they will be able to reach Sister Anderson
with all the needed supplies.

Sister Connie Anderson reports that souls are still being saved.
Last Sunday, 30 people trusted Christ as their Saviour! They
continue to experience strong aftershocks. So many people are
living outside without any type of roof or covering. Many are
getting sick from the constant exposure to the weather.
Everything is so expensive. One lady from Sister Anderson's area
was given two tarps from the military for which she was so thankful.
This lady did not make it very far at all until she was knocked to the
ground, and her tarps were taken.

I finally have communication again and am so thankful for that. We are
safe and doing okay. Still feeling strong tremors which usually come at
night. Had the house checked and we were able to move back in but my
what a mess. Had the kids still stay under the porch for one day so we
could get the glass and everything off of the floor. "Things" really are
nothing when we consider how much the Lord has been with us and we are
all safe and have a home to come to. Downtown church is gone, but so is
the city of TiGoave. All of the old downtown buildings have fallen.
Frank's and Zizi's homes are fine, but they are still outside. Frank's
are in a tent and just praising the Lord they are safe and together.
They have been having services every night out on LaHatte and Zizi
called this morning and over the weekend there were over 100
people come to know Christ as their Savior. That is
exciting to see how the Lord is working in hearts. I just wanted to let
you know we are fine and thank you so much for your prayers.

Jonathan Rugman reports on the Haiti quake from Petit Goave. This
is the town that is at the bottom of the mountain where Sister Anderson
lives.

Connie is safe and doing well right now. She has some
immediate needs which are being addressed. Monday two people are
flying to Haiti with the goal of traveling to Petit Goave and then up
the mountain to Sister Anderson. While donations are coming in
slowly, we are busy making arrangements and investigating every avenue
of opportunity to get supplies down to Sister Anderson. The
greatest problem is still one of logistics. It is almost like the
saying, "you can't get there from here." International rescue and
aid agencies have still not reached the town of Petit Goave located at
the bottom of the mountain where Sister Anderson lives.
Sister Anderson
reports that she is seeing a compassion among the Haitian people for
each other that she has never witnessed before. Church services
are being held every day and Sister Anderson reports that souls are
being saved! Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord, we received word that Sister Anderson made the
trip from Port au Prince to her house safely. As far as we know
the housing structure for Sister Anderson and the orphanage is
structurally safe. While they have water, her water filtration
system has been damaged. She reports that they are in need of
basic staples. She reports that fuel is selling for $100 a gallon.
We are working with several agencies to put together a container of
needed supplies to ship to a port near her location and not through Port
au Prince. The greatest need at present is for funds to purchase
items to ship down. You can mail your donations to; Haiti
Disaster Relief Fund, Macedonia World Baptist Missions, PO Box 519,
Braselton, GA 30517 or click on the link below.

Hi Dean, Thank you so much for trying to help me. Zizi is planning to
come in tomorrow and get me after church. So will let you know what is
happening.
Also want to let
you know, that TiSove is missing and believed dead, and that Pastor
Lezome on Wany lost his oldest girl. Also, Franck finally got in contact
with TiKene and the downtown church fell, but he was praising the Lord
he still has his family. Can't wait to see them all.
God has been good
to us, Dean, if you could see and hear all of this. He sure is to be
given the Glory for everything. Thank you so much for your love
and prayers. Connie

"A note tonight while they are on the internet. Got a call from TiKene
after I wrote to you this morning and they are fine. First I had heard
from her and she was sure praising the Lord for safety. Just wanted to
hear my voice and the kids had to listen in too. Cute!! Thank you Lord.
Then they called
this afternoon and Pastor David is in from New York up at the house and
he will start tomorrow fixing the road to make it passable to get in.
What a blessing to hear from him.
We are still
experiencing tremors but a gentleman came and explained a lot to me
today and it helped a lot. He is a missionary kid from the same area as
myself and is in here with the special forces. He took our name down and
wants to help out at TiGoave with them when they get settled. TiGoave is
a terrible mess. Many many lives lost. So thankful that Franck's and
Zizi's are okay. Well, I'd best get tonight. Have a good evening and
thank you again for your love and prayers."

I'm able to write for just a minute. Dean, CSI quest house is gone and
we are staying in the back yard. Have a tarp set up out here, but am so
thankful I can be with someone. Pray for us today, we just heard we are
to be hit again today. Huge tremors last night. Really they come every
so often. Dean, do you think you could possibly try to get me some help
from the Embassy to get back up home. I don't even know if they have
water, cooking facilities, etc. This is really very over-whelming but my
how God has protected us. I've got to go now and let someone else use
the computer while it is still on. Love to you all and thank you for
everything, your prayers and encouragement mean so much to us."

11:55 AM We just received a call from Connie Anderson.
She is doing fine. She is able to stay at a CSI guest house in
Port-au-Prince. She has some food and water. She cannot get back up
the mountain to her home. The children and the Haitian lady that helps
her are all ok and the house is ok. She doesn’t know when she can get
back up the mountain. The town down below at the foot of the mountain
was destroyed but as far as we know the pastors and families are all ok.
She will probably
have to go by horse or mule when she does go. The mountain that
connects to the mountain she lives on, is not passable.
She asked that
everyone to please pray and had tears when she said it. It is a
devastating situation.
We have a set up a
fund to help once she is able to get it. It is: “Haiti Disaster Relief
Fund” through Macedonia or you can donate through PayPal by clicking on
this link.

"Dean, a real
quick note to let you know I'm okay. Am in Port-au-Prince and we had
just left the grocery store before it collapsed. Cannot get a hold of
the mountain and hear how TiKene and kids are doing. Please pray for us,
we are still feeling the tremors. Are in the streets sitting the night
out. So wish I could get a hold of home. It is so sad here. Noise!!
